On January 25, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who heads the working group of the State Council of the Russian Federation on the development of the housing market and the creation of a comfortable living environment in Russian cities, held the second meeting of the working group in Moscow.
Russian Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Vladimir Yakushev made a keynote report.
Opening the meeting, Aide to Russian President and State Council Secretary Igor Levitin said that the improvement of housing conditions and the creation of the urban environment remain a priority task for Russian regions.
Yakushev emphasized that the Russian entities sent a large number of proposals related to the housing construction, mortgage rates, etc.
Minnikhanov noted that the task is not only to increase the volume of housing construction in the regions, but also to increase the demand for new housing, to promote the housing purchase. First of all, it is necessary to provide new construction with social, transport, engineering infrastructure.
Yakushev, in his turn, said that in order to encourage the citizens to purchase housing in new buildings, it is necessary to consider the issue of reducing mortgage rates. According to him, the state programme of subsidizing mortgage rates for the purchase of new housing can support the demand in the housing market.
The participants of the working group formed a main report taking into account the proposals received. The main report will be further considered at a meeting of the Presidium of the State Council of the Russian Federation.
