On January 24, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova together with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the main facilities to be involved during the WorldSkills Kazan – 2019.
The Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre, located near the airport and connected to it by a covered way, will be the main competition venue for the championship. It was also noted that convenient location allows reducing logistic and organizational costs, in particular, related to the delivery of necessary equipment.
Golikova looked around the facilities of the complex, in particular exhibition halls, a congress hall for 3,000 people and a conference room for up to 600 people. Minnikhanov noted that the exhibition centre will be finally tested during the Young Professionals Championship (WorldSkills Russia), held in Kazan this May.
Then, Russian Deputy Prime Minister visited the WorldSkills Village (the present day Universiade Village), where it is planned to accommodate up to 5,000 participants and experts of the championship. Well-developed infrastructure of the complex provides all necessary services, in particular, the information centre, the supermarket, the pharmacy, the bank, the post office and the full-fledged clinic. The food centre will provide traditional Russian and Tatar cuisines, European and Asian dishes and halal dishes.
