Rustam Minnikhanov: The Prosecutor's Office is the leading member of the State machinery of Russia

On January 14, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Chairman of State Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov and Head prosecutor of the republic Ildus Nafikov took part in a solemn event, dedicated to the Day of worker of the Prosecutor’s office of the Russian Federation.

Minnikhanov emphasized that the Prosecutor's Office is the leading member of the State machinery of the Russian Federation for almost 300 years and the guarantor of stability of the public life.

He also noted that due to the coordination work of the Prosecutor's office, the crime rate decreases in the republic from year to year and efficient measures are taken to combat corruption, extremism and terrorism.

According to him, not a single significant event in the republic remains unaddressed by the prosecutor's office, in particular, the elections of the Russian President and the World Cup 2018 held successfully last year. “Prosecutors also made their contribution to the common cause. We will have the election of the people’s deputies of Tatarstan State Council and the WorldSkills Championship in Kazan this year. Ensuring the rule of law and security during such events remains our priority,” the President added.

At the end of his speech, he handed in state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to the most distinguished employees.
