Rustam Minnikhanov holds a traditional meeting with representatives of Tatarstan Metropolis of Russian Orthodox Church

On January 12, at the Kazan Theological Seminary of the Kazan Diocese of Russian Orthodox Church, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a traditional meeting with representatives of Tatarstan Metropolis of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Minnikhanov congratulated all Orthodox Christians on Christmas and thanked them for their mutual understanding and assistance in maintaining peace and harmony in the region.

Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Theophan, Bishop of Chistopol and Nizhnekamsk Parmen and Bishop of Almetyevsk and Bugulma Mefody took part in the meeting.

Speaking with Minnikhanov, Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Theophan noted that the leadership of the republic maintains warm and kind relations with representatives of the Orthodox Church.

He also thanked the leadership of the republic and personally Minnikhanov for their assistance during the overhaul of the theological seminary, equipment of its facilities and organization of the storage system of the valuable library fund.
