On January 10, in Kazan, at a meeting of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the republic, which summed up the results of 2018 and set tasks for 2019, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The document envisages rendering assistance in improving approaches to the provision of state social assistance, including on the basis of a social contract, taking into account the best international practices.
Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin signed the document on behalf of the regional Government.
Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the republic Elmira Zaripova made a keynote report at the meeting.
In his turn, Pesoshin summed up the results of the socio-economic development of the region and announced a number of key indicators.
In particular, the gross regional product (GRP) will make more than 2.4 trillion roubles according to the results of 2018, with the growth rate of 101.5 per cent. The industrial production index is expected to be 101.9 per cent. In agriculture, the volume of production in comparable prices is expected to be at the level of 95.5 per cent.
The volume of investments in fixed assets will be 668 billion 900 million roubles, which is 31 billion roubles more than last year.
Pesishin said that all 38 regional programmes will remain in force in the current year.
