Rustam Minnikhanov looks around New Year’s decoration of the centre of Kazan

On December 22, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin looked around the New Year’s decoration of main walking streets of the centre of Kazan, including Bauman Street and the Kaban Lake embankment.

This year, the Italian Festi Group Company, which specializes in the development of the concept of festive events and the decoration of cities with lighting systems, made the festive decoration of Kazan. To date, Festi Group has successfully organized more than 3,600 performances in 415 cities in the world.

Festi Group has been working with Russian cities for many years. In particular, Italian specialists implemented five projects in Moscow and two in St. Petersburg.

During the inspection of the Kaban Lake embankment, Co-founder of Festi Group Valerio Festi gave explanations. He said that the decoration is focused on the deck at the Kamal Theatre, where a lighting composition 28 meters high is installed and light arches are built on the lower deck.

Then, Minnikhanov walked along Bauman Street. Festi Group’s specialists decorated Kazan Arbat with 40 luminous arches. Valerio Festi noted that 35 decorators from Italy worked to decorate Kazan facilities. A total of 102,000 energy-saving lamps, 60 kilometers of wires and 90 wooden poles were used to create arches.
