On December 20, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Deputy Minister of Defence of Russia Aleksey Krivoruchko, who is on a short-term working visit in the republic, visited the Kazan Helicopter Plant.
Upon his arrival in Kazan, Krivoruchko visited the Kazan aviation plant named after S. P. Gorbunov - branch of Tupolev PJSC, where he inspected the production facilities, the upgraded Tu-22M3 missile carrier bomber and other models manufactured at the plant.
At the Kazan Helicopter Plant Minnikhanov and Krivoruchko visited the aggregate and final assembly workshops, as well as the flight test complex where the flight of the MI-38T helicopter was demonstrated.
At the end of their inspection, Tatarstan President and Deputy Minister of Defence of Russia answered questions from journalists.
In particular, Minnikhanov noted that the MI-38T helicopter manufactured by the Kazan Helicopter Plant is capable of performing a variety of tasks. “This is a modern, silent helicopter capable of performing various tasks. I think this helicopter has great prospects,” he said.
