On December 21, at the Korston Entertainment Complex, speaking at the 13th Congress of the Council of Municipalities of the republic with participation of 956 delegates – heads of municipalities, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that according to the results of 2018, the gross regional product will exceed 2 trillion 750 billion roubles. The volume of the industrial output is expected to be 2 trillion 750 billion roubles, the estimated industrial production index is expected to be 101.9 per cent.
State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of State Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, Chairman of the Council of Municipalities of the republic Ekzam Gubaidullin, members of the Federation Council and people’s deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation took part in the meeting.
According to the results of the current year the volume of investments in fixed assets is estimated at 670 billion roubles, the retail trade turnover is about 910 billion roubles in the current year. The average monthly salary is expected to be 34,910 roubles. The unemployment rate will be 0.55 per cent, which indicates a stable labor market situation.
At the national level, Tatarstan ranks third in agriculture, fourth in industrial production, fifth in housing construction and its commissioning and the 8th position in terms of retail trade turnover, Minnikhanov emphasized.
Minnikhanov said that as many as 38 programmes are being implemented in Tatarstan aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens.
“The number of these programmes is increasing, based on your requests,” Minnikhanov said.
Tatarstan President said that a new programme of major repair and construction of children’s summer recreation camps is being launched in the republic.
According to him, about 6-7 billion roubles will be allocated for these purposes. “The programme is required and we will implement it,” he assured.
Tatarstan President also noted that the republic will continue to implement the regional programmes in 2019.
