On December 18, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed over keys to new official vehicles to heads of rural settlements and municipal facilities of the republic. Moreover, municipalities received another batch of school buses.

Tatarstan President noted the increasing importance of local authorities. The success of the republic depends on the effectiveness of municipalities, he stressed. In his Decree, the President of Russia identified new strategic objectives for the development of the country and municipalities play an important role in their implementation, Minnikhanov emphasized.

“We provide systematic support to our municipalities. Currently, 38 various programmes are underway in the republic, most of them are aimed at improving the standard of living in rural settlements,” he added.

Minnikhanov noted that the republic pays great attention to improving the facilities of municipalities, in particular, to solving transport issues. “New vehicles will enable local officials to significantly increase responsiveness and mobility. Also today, we are handing over keys to school buses, because no matter where they live, children should get quality education,” Tatarstan President concluded.

Today, representatives of municipal regions received keys to 100 new official vehicles and 57 school buses.
