Rustam Minnikhanov and Viktor Zubkov launch the construction of a new production facility at the Kazancompressormash

On December 14, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Chairman of Gazprom Board of Directors Viktor Zubkov took part in a solemn ceremony of laying the foundation stone of a new production facility of large-sized compressors at the Kazancompressormash(Kazan Compressor-Building Plant).

Minnikhanov emphasized that the construction of a new production facility is strategically important for Russian gas industry. “Today, the Kazancompressormash enterprise is carrying out a great deal of work to modernize its facilities. It helps us to improve the competitiveness of products and to find new markets,” Tatarstan President said.

He added that the implementation of the new project is a vivid example of solving the issue of import substitution of engineering products in the oil and gas complex.

Minnikhanov thanked Gazprom Company for the cooperation and support of the machine-building enterprises of the republic.

Zubkov noted that in the long term, the production and supply of liquefied gas will be one of the most actively developing energy segments.

Then, a solemn ceremony of laying the foundation stone of a new production facility took place.
