Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan has great potential to develop theatre business

On December 13, during his working visit to Atninsky region of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a ceremonial event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Atninsky State Theatre named after Gabdulla Tukai and the opening of the Year of Theatre.

Minnikhanov noted that the Atninsky Theatre was established in 1918, during the most difficult period in the history of our country.

Tatarstan President emphasized that the republic has great potential to develop theatre business. There are educational institutions to train specialists, theatre facilities are improved and various measures to support and develop theatrical art are implemented, he continued. In total, there are 15 state and 3 municipal theatres, as well as several private theatre projects in Tatarstan.
