On December 4, during his working visit to Helsinki, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met senior executives of the YIT Finish Construction Company and got acquainted with its new projects – Tripla Urban Complex and Oodi Library.
The Tripla project envisages the development of a small district of Pasila at a place of the relocated rail depot, which will become the new centre of Helsinki.
Project Director Tapio Salo said that Tripla will include housing, offices, a shopping centre, a new public transportation hub. The new hub will be the country's largest one in terms of passenger traffic. It is expected that the passenger traffic flow will make about 50 million passengers a year by 2025.
Tatarstan President also visited Oodi, Helsinki's new Central Library. Administrative Director of the library Karri Lamsa told Minnikhanov that various city and cultural events are planned to be held in the library, adding that great attention will be paid to the use and study of the latest information technology for their further implementation in other city libraries.
