Rustam Minnikhanov and Andrei Artizov look around a new building of Tatarstan State Record Office

On November 21, on the day of the 100th anniversary of the Archive Agency of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of the Federal Agency of Records of the Russian Federation Andrei Artizov looked around a new building of the State Record Office of the republic.

During the inspection, Head of the State Archive-Keeping Committee of Tatarstan Gulnara Gabdrakhmanova said that storage racks of nine meters height, a total of 9,316 shelves that can accommodate 500,000 storage units, are located in the building.

The air conditioning and ventilation systems, supporting constant temperature and humidity, are installed in the building.

She added that the building will be commissioned at the end of the current year. The total area of the facility is 1134 square meters.

To date, the archives of the republic account to 25,929 funds, containing 7.4 million units of storage.
