Huawei Company introduces Innovative Security Solutions to Tatarstan President

On November 16, during his working visit to the city of Shenzhen (China), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with Huawei Company’s latest security solutions.

Tatarstan President visited the police station in Shenzhen, at which the “smart police” project is being implemented. The Huawei developed a high-tech centre, where cloud applications are widely used to enhance public safety and traffic management. 

Minnikhanov got acquainted with the work features of the innovation centre and with the process of intellectual recognition and data collection. Thus, over 53,000 different cameras record the video information and 5,000 cameras have the function of face recognition, another 1,200 devices recognize license plates. Videos are used for evidence in 85 per cent of cases.

Representatives of the “smart police” centre also reported that the video and photo capture systems helped them to solve 1622 crimes in the first half of 2018. In the region, where the project is being implemented, the number of thefts has decreased by 50 per cent and the number of robberies - by 65 per cent for three years.
