Rustam Nigmatullin meets Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Russia Botirzhon Asadov

On November 15, at the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, Acting Prime Minister Rustam Nigmatullin had a meeting with Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Russia Botirzhon Asadov, who arrived on a two-day working visit in Kazan (November 15-16, 2018). 

Welcoming the guests, Nigmatullin stressed that the development of relations with Uzbek companies is an important area of ​​external activities of the republic. He noted that in 2017 the bilateral trade turnover between Tatarstan and Uzbekistan amounted to 92 million US dollars.

“Petrochemical industry, engineering, automotive industry, power engineering, agriculture, information technology are main areas of our mutually beneficial cooperation are. We exchange practices in such spheres as science, education, culture, sports and tourism,” he said.

During the meeting, Nigmatullin briefly told the Ambassador about the current situation in Tatarstan and the most promising sectors for further cooperation between the two regions.

In his turn, Asadov thanked Nigmatullin for the warm welcome extended to him in Tatarstan and stressed that Tatarstan and Uzbekistan have had a meaningful dialogue recently.
