Igor Komarov together with Rustam Minnikhanov and Mintimer Shaimiev get acquainted with the reconstruction the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God

On November 14, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov visited the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God under reconstruction.

Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev and Bishop of Almetyevsk and Bugulma Methodius also took part in the event.

Minnikhanov and Komarov looked around the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, where they were told about the discovery of the world famous Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and the history of the church. The guests also visited the cathedral and the cave temple recreated at the place where the the holy icon was found.

During his visit, Komarov appreciated the quality of construction and the pace of project implementation.
