On November 14, near the Kazan River Port, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov presented Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov new trams and KAMAZ-6282 electric bus.
Minnikhanov stressed that the new tram has three sections and is the first tram of this kind made by Uraltransmash in Kazan.
The Kazan tram is painted ruby and can accommodate almost 170 people and also has 29 seating spaces.
The delegation also inspected the KAMAZ electric bus of the “second generation”. It features ultra-fast charging, which takes from 10 to 20 minutes.
The vehicle is charged at ultrafast charging stations using a semi-pantograph. In addition, an on-board charger is used that can charge the accumulator with 3-phase AC 330V. This is the so-called "night charging".
The electric bus is designed for 85 people and has 33 seats. The prototype, transferred to Kazan, will travel from the River Port to the Academician Glushko bus stop. The experiment will last two to three months.
