Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Uss take part in the torch relay of the 29th Winter Universiade

On November 10, in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Governor of Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Uss and other officials took part in the torch relay of the 29th Winter Universiade to be held in Krasnoyarsk in 2019. As many as 24 torchbearers, including public figures, sports and education activists, young people and honoured cultural figures carried the torch along the central streets of the capital of Tatarstan.

The torch of the Winter Student Games 2019 was made at one of the plants in Krasnoyarsk and represents flight, wind, fire, tenderness and kindness.

The torch of the World Student Games was lit on the 20th of September in Italy’s Turin, where the torch relay started and the first Universiade was held.

Minnikhanov and Uss lit the Bowl of the flame of the Winter Universiade.
