On November 2, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived on a two-day working visit in the Republic of Moldova, was met by Secretary General of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Moldova Ruslan Flocea and First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of Gagauzia Vadim Cheban at the Kishinev Airport.
Tatarstan President plans to hold a number of meetings with representatives of the country's leadership to outline further steps to strengthen cooperation between Tatarstan and Moldova as part of enhancing Russia-Moldova relations.
Yesterday, at their meeting in Moscow, President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon discussed issues of Russia-Moldava cooperation in trade, economic and humanitarian fields.
Today, Minnikhanov will discuss prospects for interregional cooperation with Dodon. Then, Tatarstan President will hold talks with Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova Cristina Lesnic.
Tomorrow, on the 3rd of November, Minnikhanov will continue his working visit in the city of Comrat, the administrative centre of the autonomous region of Gagauzia, where he intends to meet Head of Gagauzia Irina Vlah.
Tatarstan President also plans to take part in the Fourth International Investment Forum “Invest Gagauzia-2018”. The forum aims to promote the image of Gagauzia and to present the investment opportunities of the region. It is expected to sign an Action Plan for the implementation of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Executive Committee of Gagauzia on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation for 2019-2021 on the sidelines of the forum.
