On October 31, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of Russia Sergey Kiriyenko chaired a meeting of Coordination Committee for summing up the Russian Presidential Grants for Civil Society Development contest, where its participants summed up the results of the second presidential grant contest in 2018.
Tatarstan non-profit organizations namey, proved to be the most active in the competition for grants and the region received 174 million roubles from Presidential Grants Foundation that the organizations can use for implementation of their public projects.
According to the results of two competitions, the regions of the Volga Federal District received a record amount of grants, in particular, 1b52 m roubles, if compared to the previous years. The winners of two presidential grant contests of the Volga Federal District received 864 million roubles in 2017 and 422 million roubles in 2016.
Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to Volga Federal District Igor Komarov congratulated the winners of the competition from the regions of the Volga Federal District and noted not only quantitative but also qualitative growth of projects of non-profit organizations.
