Rustam Minnikhanov meets Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori

On October 30, at their meeting on the sidelines of the Global Islamic Economy Summit in Dubai, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori discussed issues of trade and economic cooperation between Tatarstan and the UAE as part of Russia-UAE relations.

Minnikhanov told the Minister about Islamic banking projects currently implemented in the republic. In particular, he told him about work to set up the Russian Centre for Islamic Economy in Tatarstan. The project is implemented together with Sberbank of Russia. According to Tatarstan President, this centre will contribute to greater development of the principles of Islamic economy in the country.
