A session of Political council of the republican public movement “Tatarstan-Novy Vek” - “Tatarstan – yana gasyr” was held in NCC Kazan. The session was chaired by RT State Council Chairman, chairman of TNV Political council Farid Mukhametshin.

Head of the republican parliament and public movement made report on social and political situation in the country and introduced new candidate for the post of chairman of TNV executive committee.

Farid Mukhametshin marked that the meeting is held after important events in social and political life of the country. He called elections of the Russian President held on March 4 “organized” and “transparent”.

Speaking about political outcomes of the elections Farid Mukhametshin marked that the elected President is a person who made a lot for republic. In particular, he mentioned 1000th anniversary of Kazan, construction of subway and TANECO, support rendered to KAMAZ, preparation for holding World summer universiade 2013 in Kazan and world championships in water sports (2015) and football (2018).

Chairman of the State Council also focused on main results of social and economic development of republic. Thus, Tatarstan still takes leading positions among Russian regions according to main parameters of industrial and agricultural production, investments and housing construction. Much is done in the sphere of education and health care, Farid Mukhametshin marked.

Head of the republican parliament put much emphasis on cultural issues in his speech. To the point, by the order of the Tatarstan President 2012 is announced the Year of historical and cultural heritage.

Under the auspices of Mintimer Shaimiev reconstruction of ancient town of Bolgar and island town Sviyazhsk is underway. The situation with architectural monuments of Kazan is taken over control.
