23.10.2018

On October 23, in Menlo-Park (California, USA), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov looked around startups of Tatarstan companies at the international technology forum.

It is expected that experts access opportunities of startup companies in terms of entering the global market and give recommendations to improve their efficiency and investment attractiveness.

The Try.Fit programme, presented at the exhibition, determines the best suitable shoes (size and model) for all intended type of activities (walking, running, jumping, snowboarding, hiking, etc.) by analyzing digital simulations of geometric and physical collisions between three-dimensional models of the buyer's foot and shoes.

The Mouse is a project that allows users to easily find and listen to musicians performing at any venues, and feel like in a concert hall.

The Yorso project is an automated marketplace for interaction between wholesalers and buyers of the seafood market and the meat industry.

Minnikhanov was also presented an interactive platform to convert an interactive video into a movie. According to its authors, one of the partners of the project is the Russian director and screenwriter Timur Bekmambetov.

Another startup project, BeTrip, is a service for navigating and creating personalized routes for travelers.

After looking around the exhibition, Minnikhanov gave a number of errands. In particular, he instructed the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the republic to meet developers of the Yorso startup to look into the possibilities  of using the project. According to the developers, Tatarstan farmers can become participants of trading venues of Russia and other countries with the help of this startup. It is assumed that the startup will make it possible to reduce the number of resellers and thereby reduce the final cost of products.

The exhibition of startups is organized with the assistance of the Investment and Venture Fund of the republic.
