On October 23, in San Francisco, at his meeting with representatives of American universities, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan is interested in further extension of cooperation with University of the Potomac and Woz-U University.

University of Potomac and the University of Management TISBI signed an agreement on the beginning of the implementation of double degree programmes in September this year.

The Woz-U University and the University of TISBI discuss the opportunity of pilot implementation of K-12 programme, operating in the USA, which envisages consistent and continuous education of children and schoolchildren from kindergarten, then secondary school to higher education and introduction of an educational programme in the area of computer knowledge: coding, process engineering, robotics, cybersecurity, etc. These programmes will be implemented together with intensive study of the English language.

Minnikhanov appreciated the implementation of educational programmes and a direction of obtaining double degree.

“We are glad to expand contacts with US higher education institutions. Such programmes are in demand and have good prospects today. It is especially interesting that educational programmes are aimed at supporting children from kindergarten, thus they will be able to build up a strong knowledge base. Such programmes provide an opportunity to establish a unified partnership programme for universities,” Minnikhanov said.

He gave an errand to the Ministry of Education and Science of the republic to hold meetings with representatives of American universities, in particular, the University of Potomac and Woz-U University.
