Rustam Minnikhanov meets senior executives of JVIS Company in San Francisco

On October 23, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with senior executives of JVIS Company, established as part of Venture Industries (the USA), the manufacturer of automotive components, developer and manufacturer of molds, in 2006.

The company specializes in the production of automotive components and also produces components in such areas as medicine, electronics and renewable energy resources. It is a global supplier of Ford Motors, Chrysler, Toyota, Mercedes, BMW and General Motors companies.

The company has about 40 manufacturing enterprises, centers and representative offices in many countries, including the Russian Federation, in particular, in Tatarstan since 1997. During this time, the JVIS implemented several large-scale projects with KAMAZ Automaker, Tatneftekhiminvest-Holding and other companies in the republic.

During his working visit to the USA in October 2017, Minnikhanov had a meeting with President of JVIS Company Jason Murar and Head of Tatkhimplast Company Albert Suleimanov, at which the memorandum of understanding between Tatkhimplast Company and JVIS-USA Company, which envisages the establishment of a joint venture, located in North America, for the manufacturing of polymer compounds for use in the automotive industry and in other industries was signed.

The JVIS is interested in cooperation with KAMAZ Automaker in engineering of the KAMAZ electric bus, localization of the production facilities of plastic automotive components and batteries of the electric bus in Tatarstan. “We are looking forward to close cooperation and further localization of production facilities,” representatives of the JVIS said.

During the meeting, Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan is interested in further development of cooperation with the company and added that the manufacturing of compounds is a leading direction. According to him, cooperation with the KAMAZ can also be promising.
