Rustam Minnikhanov discusses prospects for cooperation with American Gas&Technology

On October 23, during his working visit to San Francisco, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov discussed prospects for cooperation with Director, Vice President of American Gas&Technology Boris Shrayer.

American Gas & Technology (AG & T) was established to manufacture and commission a unique new product - small-sized automated gas liquefaction devices. The devices are capable of producing, storing and distributing new clean transportation fuel - liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan is implementing a programme to convert vehicles to gas, in particular, urban public transport, utility and agricultural machinery.

During the discussion of the advantages of using LNG, Minnikhanov suggested that the company's management consider the possibility of converting  ambulance cars to gas.

In their turn, representatives of AG&T said that they had similar experience in Los Angeles - ambulance and police cars were converted to gas with their participation.

Moreover, the meeting discussed the possibility of localizing a production facility to make automated gas liquefaction devices in Tatarstan.

Minnikhanov invited representatives of the company's management to visit the republic to get acquainted with opportunities for further development of relations, to set up the production facility and to look into prospects for cooperation in general.
