On October 12, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Akim of the East Kazakhstan region Danial Akhmetov took part in an unveiling ceremony of the Taikazan sculpture in the park on the crossing of Nazarbayev and Kachalov streets.
The sculpture, established in Kazan, is a copy of Taikazan at Yasawi mausoleum in Turkestan (Turkestan region, Kazakhstan) and is a symbol of hospitality and fertility.
Minnikhanov thanked Akhmetov for the present and also expressed confidence that the Taikazan sculpture, symbolizing hospitality and fertility, which was donated to the republic, will further strengthen the ties between the brotherly peoples of Tatarstan and Kazakhstan.
