Rustam Minnikhanov hands in awards for the contribution to the development of civil society institutions in Tatarstan

On October 11, at the Governor's Palace of the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in awards for the contribution to the development of civil society institutions in Tatarstan.

The award was established in 2015. Every year, socially oriented non-profit organizations and citizens of the Russian Federation become its laureates for activities and projects that have received public recognition, for scientific research in the field of civil society and a significant long-term personal contribution to the development of civil society institutions in the republic.

“Tatarstan is one of the leading regions of the country in the development of civil society institutions. Our republic, together with Moscow and St. Petersburg, is one of the three leaders in the contest of the Presidential Grants Foundation of non-profit organizations. This became possible due to the work and quality of the projects of our non-profit organizations, their joint work with the authorities. We will continue improving the forms of state support of civil society institutions. We have settled about it at the 4th Regional Forum of non-profit organizations,” Minnikhanov said.

He emphasized that the laureates of this award made significant contribution to the development of the social movement of the republic.

“I warmly congratulate everyone on their well-deserved awards. I wish you good health and new achievements in public activities,” Minnikhanov said.

Then, the awarding ceremony took place. As many as five socially-oriented non-profit organization and three representatives of the public movement of Tatarstan became the laureates of the award.
