Rustam Minnikhanov: Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works is a key partner of Tatarstan

On October 1, during hi working visit to Magnitogorsk, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhnov visited the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works.

Governor of Chelyabinsk region Boris Dubrovsky and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works Viktor Rashnikov told Minnikhanov about activities of the plant. A delegation from Tatarstan looked around a blast-furnace casting workshop, a thick plate production facility and a sheet-rolling workshop.

“The Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works is a key partner of many of our enterprises, such as KAMAZ, Almetyevsk Pipe Plant, Pozis, Ford Sollers and others,” Minnikhanov said at his meeting with Dubrovsky and Rashnikov. “Every year, the plant supplies over 310,000 tonnes amounting to 12 billion roubles to Tatarstan alone. We launched a new and modern production facility at a joint service metal centre of the Works and the Coskunoz Turkish company at the Alabuga Special Economic Zone this May. I am sure that the cooperation between our regions will increase."
