Rustam Minnikhanov gets acquainted with the construction progress of Kazan EXPO International Exhibition Centre

On September 30, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin, Deputy Prime Minister - Chief of Staff of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic Shamil Gafarov and Regional Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin got acquainted with the construction progress of the facilities of the Kazan EXPO International Exhibition Centre.

Minnikhanov looked around the complex and appreciated the readiness of the exhibition pavilions, the competition area for WorldSkills Championship, galleries and multipurpose halls.

During the visit, Minnikhanov was informed about the high readiness of the exhibition centre. It is expected that the construction of the Centre will be completed by mid-October and the first event the Road-2018 International Exhibition will be held there.

The construction of the Kazan Expo is primarily intended for hosting the WorldSkills Competition-2019.

On September 29, the Russian team won first place in the medal ranking of the EuroSkills championship in Budapest for the first time. Minnikhanov congratulated the representatives of the Russian team on an excellent performance.
