Farid Mukhametshin: For sure, some day we will want to read a real book again

Chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin got familiar with development of library services during his working trip to Penza oblast.
To the point, Head of the Tatarstan Parliament takes part in XXX session of the Association of legislative (representative) state authorities of RF subjects of the Volga federal district.
On arrival in Penza oblast Farid Mukhametshin and heads of parliaments of the VFD subjects visited several social and cultural objects. Legal maintenance of cultural development was one of the issues discussed at the session of the Association.
A multifunctional library and leisure center was presented to the guests in Zasechnoe village of the Penza region.
Penza dwellers are proud of new building of the local library named after their famous compatriot M.Yu.Lermontov. Construction of the library was initiated by the Lermontov society at the end of the 19th century. In pre-revolutionary period the library was under different stages of construction. Nowadays, the idea has been realized and the modern building was constructed in a new micro-district of the city. Total area of the library is 24 thousand m².
According to the Head of Tatarstan Parliament, it is very delightful that local dwellers are so eager to tell about their compatriots, including such outstanding people as Lermontov and Stolypin who made inestimable contribution in development of the Russian culture.
Members of the Association also visited the reconstructed regional drama theatre.
Department on interaction with the public and mass media, RT State Council
