Rustam Minnikhanov: We are pleased with the existing partnership relations with Haier Corporation

On September 27, during his working visit to the city of Qingdao (China), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with senior managers of the Haier Company and visited one of the “smart” plants of the Chinese manufacturer of household appliances.

Today, Haier has 108 factories worldwide. During his visit to Qingdao, Minnikhanov got acquainted with the activities of one of the company's nine "smart" factories specializing in the production of air conditioners. Tatarstan President was informed that the company uses artificial intelligence systems, which allow it to reduce costs and increase production efficiency. In particular, new solutions are used to make products taking into account the interests and requirements of a particular customer.

After his visit to the plant, Minnikhanov met senior managers of the Haier Company. Tatarstan President noted the successful operation of the Haier refrigerator plant in Naberezhnye Chelny. He said that a joint training centre of the Chinese corporation and the Kazan Federal University also operates in the republic. Moreover, work to open the second stage of the plant for the production of washing machines is underway, he continued.

Tatarstan President appreciated the Haier’s initiative to set up a modern industrial park of new technologies in Naberezhnye Chelny. "We welcome a broader interaction with the Haier corporation and are ready to provide overall support in your work in our republic,” Minnikhanov added.
