Rustam Minnikhanov visits the Sinotruk Truck Factory in China

On September 27, during his working visit to the city of Jinan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the activities of the Sinotruk Company, which is one of the China’s largest companies producing heavy and medium-sized trucks.

The Sinotruk Group focuses on the design, development, production and sale of various types of trucks, special vehicles, buses, engines and aggregates, components and various types of chassis. Vehicles produced by the Sinotruk are used in various branches of industry, including construction, mining and cargo transportation.

Minnikhanov visited the Sinotruk exhibition complex, where he got acquainted with the history of the development of the group and also looked around various models of the produced equipment. Tatarstan President was informed that the Sinotruk is one of five largest manufacturers of heavy and medium-sized trucks in China. In 2016, the company sold more than 66,500 vehicles,  25,000 of which were exported. Sinotruk vehicles are represented in 100 countries, including Russia.

Then, Minnikhanov met senior managers of the Chinese Company to discuss possible options for cooperation, including in the field of development of gas engine technology. "We are open and ready for cooperation. Tatarstan has an experience of cooperation with the Chinese Weichai Power engine maker. We will be glad to see you in Tatarstan in the near future,” Minnikhanov added.
