Rustam Minnikhanov meets Head of Federal Forestry Agency Ivan Valentik

On September 15, at their meeting at Tatarstan Government House, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia – Head of Federal Forestry Agency Ivan Valentik discussed issues related to the efficient use of forest resources, modernization of the industry and also discussed joint activities for the forest protection and rehabilitation.

During the meeting, Valentik handed in a departmental insignia "For saving and increasing the forest resources of Russia" to Minnikhanov.

Aide to Tatarstan President Albert Nafigin, Tatarstan Minister of Forestry Ravil Kuzyurov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the republic Aleksander Shadrikov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in the meeting.

During his working visit to Kazan, Valentik will take part in the solemn ceremony of handing in keys to new official vehicles to forestry workers of the republic and will visit a solemn event dedicated to the holiday of foresters, held at the Korston Entertainment Complex.
