Rustam Minnihanov attends the Mosaic of Cultures ethno-confessional festival

On August 30, on the square in fron of the Kazan Family Centre, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended the 4th ethno-confessional festival “Mosaic of Cultures”. The final stage of the Festival of National Literatures of the Peoples of Russia was also held there.

Speaking from the stage, Minnikhanov congratulated all guests of the holiday on the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Day of the City of Kazan. Tatarstan is a multi-ethnic and multi-confessional republic, he stressed.

"Today, representatives of more than 130 ethnicities  are living in peace and harmony in our region. The Mosaic of Cultures Festival confirms these words,” Minnikhanov said.

According to Tatarstan President, it is very important to preserve the identity of every ethnicity, including religion, tradition and language. "We are all different. And this what makes our country strong, " he noted.

Minnikhanov visited various stands of religious organizations and representatives of national public associations of the republic.
