Rustam Minnikhanov hands in state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan on the eve of the Republic Day

On August 29, in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan to the most distinguished citizens of the republic.

"Tomorrow we celebrate our main holiday – the Republic Day and there is a good tradition, on the eve of this holiday, to invite the most distinguished, respected people, representatives of a wide range of industries - cultural, social, veteran and public organizations and hold a ceremony of handing in state awards," Minnikhanov said, opening the event.

“Today, due to the strong economy and the support of the federal centre, we have an opportunity to implement projects, which have an impact on the further development of our entire republic,” Minnikhanov said.  

"The republic has a big and strong economy and this economy should work for the benefit of those citizens who live, work and study here. I should thank everyone for the contribution you bring to the development of our republic, and therefore, to the development of our country as a whole. Thank you for your work. The ceremony of handing in state awards is a good occasion to meet and thank everyone,” Tatarstan President said, addressing the participants of the event.

Minnikhanov congratulated everyone on the upcoming holiday and handed in state awards of Russia and Tatarstan.
