Rustam Minnikhanov congratulates graduates of the Innopolis University

On August 28, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov paid a working visit to Innopolis to take part in solemn graduation and admission ceremonies at the Innopolis University.

As many 49 bachelors and 100 masters have graduated from the first Russian IT university this year. The graduates received employment invitations from residents of the Innopolis Special Economic Zone and partner companies of the Innopolis University.

The admission of new students was also held today. As many as 254 students have been enrolled at the University.

"We chose one of the best places for the construction of the IT city. Innopolis is a well-designed city. The University and the special economic zone are in demand,” Minnikhanov said in his welcoming speech. “Our main task is to create comfortable conditions for life and work of local specialists. Work is constantly underway in this area.  We have already visited a new rental house and plant to build of a school. We will continue to systematically develop the city of Innopolis."

Also, Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude to the President of Russia, the Government of the Russian Federation and the federal agencies assisting in the implementation of this project.

Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Innopolis University Nikolay Nikiforov, who took part in the ceremony, noted that the University of Innopolis is one of the country's most unique universities.
