Rustam Minnikhanov visits children's recreation camps «Molodaya Gvardiya» and «Plamya»

On August 27, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leila Fazleeva, Regional Minister of Youth Affairs Damir Fattakhov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin visited children's recreation camps «Molodaya Gvardiya» and «Plamya».

Molodaya Gvardiya recreation camp was established in Kazan in 1930s. There were four specialized sessions organized in the camp and a total of 1,000 children rested during the season. The camp has seven housing buildings, a canteen, a health centre, two basketball courts and one football field. Minnikhanov looked around the camp, administrative and sleeping buildings. 

Later on the same day, Tatarstan President went to Plamya children’s recreation camp, where he was introduced the camp’s infrastructure and informed that over 1370 children rest here annually. The camp was overhauled in 2009.

Regional capital repair programme of children’s recreation camps has being implemented since 2014. Over 60 per cent of the recreation institutions were overhauled due to this programme.
