Rustam Minnikhanov: The powerful construction complex of Tatarstan helps to solve many strategic tasks

On August 24, at the Cultural Centre named after Lenin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and First Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of Russia Leonid Stavitsky took part in a solemn event dedicated to the Builders’ Day.

Before the ceremony, Minnikhanov looked around the exhibition of communal and construction machinery organized in front of the Cultural Centre.  The machinery will be then handed over to the municipalities. A total of 117 units of special equipment will be given to the regions of the republic this year.

"Dear builders! From the bottom of my heart, I would like to congratulate you on your professional holiday, and to thank you for your hard work. Thanks to you, we build and repair hundreds of facilities in the country every year,” Minnikhanov said in his welcoming speech.

Tatarstan President also expressed words of gratitude to the old stagers of the industry. "This base was not created in a day. Our construction industry, design institutes, agencies working for the construction complex were formed thanks to you," he said. 

Minnikhanov noted that the powerful construction complex of the republic helps to solve many strategic tasks, including the implementation of projects in the field of oil refining and petrochemical industry, the development of social facilities, and the construction of sports facilities in order to promote mass sports.

Then, Minnikhanov handed in state awards of the republic to the old stagers and employees of the construction industry.

Speaking at the event, First Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of Russia stressed that in terms of the development of the construction complex, Tatarstan is one of the leaders in the country.
