Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu arrives on a working visit in Kazan

On August 24, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, who arrived on a two-day working visit in Kazan, was met by Chief of Staff of Cabinet of Ministers of the republic Shamil Gafarov and other regional officials at the Kazan International Airport.

Upon his arrival in Kazan, the Minister headed to the Kazan Kremlin to meet Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. After the meeting, Çavuşoğlu and Minnikhanov will briefly answer questions from journalists.

Tomorrow, on the 25th of August, the Minister is planned to have a meeting with Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev. The presentation of projects of revival of the ancient city of Bolgar, island-town of Sviyazhsk and the Bolgar Islamic Academy will be made at the meeting,

It is also expected that the Minister will visit the Istanbul park to lay flowers at the monument to Sadri Maksudi.
