Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in Eid al-Adha prayer in Kazan

On August 21, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in Eid al-Adha prayer held by First Deputy Mufti of the republic Rustem Khazrat Valiullin at the Galeevskaya Mosque in Kazan.

During the festive sermon, Khazrat Valiullin briefed about the history of Eid al-Adha holiday. He also touched upon the importance of education and noted that today anyone can get the necessary knowledge about Islam. There are madrasah, the Russian Islamic University and the Bolgar Islamic Academy in the republic.

He read out congratulatory telegrams from Russian President Vladimir Putin and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

After the sermon at the mosque, a festive prayer was held.

Later on the same day, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin visited a new mosque on Fedoseevskaya street.
