Rustam Minnikhanov attends a concert of masters of arts under the Days of Tatarstan culture in Moscow

On August 17, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working visit in the capital of Russia to take part in the Days of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan in Moscow.

In particular, Minnikhanov took part in a ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay. He also took part in the ceremony of unveiling monument to the well-known international journalist and Orientalist-Arabist Farid Mustafeyevich Seifull-Mulyukov.

Later on the same day, Minnikhanov attended a concert of masters of arts of the republic, which became the main event of the traditional Days of Tatarstan Culture in Moscow.

The event aims at highlighting the relations of friendship, harmony and mutual respect of the peoples of Russia, close socio-economic and cultural relations between the regions.

Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin  took part in the event and congratulated the representatives of the region and all guests on the forthcoming Day of the Republic of Tatarstan and thanked for the long-term cooperation in various areas.

He stressed that a large number of Tatarstan citizens are working in Moscow, developing cultural, scientific, construction and other industries.

He handed in letters of gratitude of the Mayor of Moscow to outstanding Moscow residents for active participation in the life of the capital and contribution to the development of relations between Moscow and Tatarstan. 

Minnikhanov also highlighted the importance of joint work of two regions in the area of economy, science and tourism. He emphasized that Moscow is an example of the region where many projects are being implemented. According to him, every time visiting Moscow, Tatarstan citizens see something new and embody it in their region.

Tatarstan President also handed in state awards of the republic to Moscow citizens, who are actively taking part in the development of two regions.
