Rustam Minnikhanov: Tyulyachi region traditionally demonstrates well-organized work during the harvesting campaign

On August 16, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov paid a working visit to Tyulyachi region to meet the participants of the harvesting campaign and heads of settlements.

Head of the region Ildus Zaripov reported that as many as 44,500 hectares have been sown, including 21,600 hectares of grain crops.

As of today, as many as 9,700 hectares or 45 per cent of the area have been threshed, producing 24,000 tonnes of grain with an average yield of 24.8 centners per hectare.

Zaripov also reported on the development of livestock sector. There are about 14,300 heads of cattle, including 4,600 heads of cows. Since the beginning of the current year, as many as 13,800 tonnes of milk were produced.

Minnikhanov noted that Tyulyachi region traditionally demonstrates well-organized work during the harvesting campaign.

At the same time, this year the region ranks only 28th in yield indicators. Minnikhanov noted that citizens of Tyulyachi region have enough reserves for increasing the volumes of the harvest.
