Rustam Minnikhanov pays working visit to Vysokaya Gora municipal region

On August 16, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov paid a working visit to Vysokaya Gora municipal region to get acquainted with the course of the harvesting campaign and where he met heads of farms, investors and heads of settlements of the region.

During his meeting with the residents of Vysokaya Gora region, Minnikhanov noted that the region “has gained experience in plant growing”. It is important to grow income-generating crops and also develop livestock sector, in particular to increase milk production, it has always been a source of funds, Minnikhanov added.

Head of the region Rustam Kalimullin reported that the harvesting campaign started in the region on July 27. The total area of grain and pulse crops land is 30,500 hectares.

As of August 15, as many as 15,300 hectares or 50.1 per cent of the area have been threshed, producing 40,000 tonnes of grain with an average yield of 26.2 centners per hectare. As many as 64 harvester-threshers are working in the fields of the region.

Later on the same day, Minnikhanov visited Kasymovskiy and Vysokogorsky dairy plants.

He also visited the presentation of a project for the development of ethnographic tourism which was held in the Tatar village of Yamashurma.

The farmer Gabdelahmet Kotdusov established an ostrich farm in the region, today known as an object of rural tourism under the brand “Tatar ostrich”.
