Rustam Minnikhanov reported on the harvesting campaign in Drozhzhanoe region

On August 14, during his working visit to Drozhzhanoe region of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov got acquainted with the harvesting campaign in the region.

Head of the Executive Committee of the region Marat Gafarov reported that the total area of arable land is 69,000 hectares, including 35,800 hectares of grain crops, 600 hectares of maize, 3,900 hectares of sugar beet and 16,800 hectares of forage crops.

The farmers of Drozhzhanoe region have already completed the harvesting campaign for 50 per cent the day before. 

As of today, 18,200 hectares of area have been threshed, producing 45,000 tonnes of grain with a yield of 25 centners per hectare, including 25,800 tonnes of winter wheat, 250 tonnes of winter rye and 13,700 tonnes of barley.

As for the livestock sector, there are about 14,900 heads of cattle, including 4,700 of cows. From January to July of the current year, almost 15,000 tonnes of milk were produced with an average daily milk yield of 16.5 kilograms per cow.

Minnikhanov wished the villagers rich harvest and completion of the harvesting campaign on time.
