Rustam Minnikhanov gets acquainted with the harvesting campaign in Buinsk region

On August 14, in the afternoon, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov made a helicopter fly over the region's fields to get acquainted with the course of the harvesting campaign in Buinsk region of the republic.

Later the same day he met machine operators, taking part in the campaign, heads of farms, investors and heads of settlements of Buinsk municipal region.

Minnikhanov talked to machine operators and combine operators and asked them about working conditions, provision of hot meals and other issues.

Akhmetov briefed about the system of regional and municipal grants for the best combine operators.

Head of the region Marat Zyabbarov reported on the current situation in the fields and said that as of August 13, as many as 28,400 hectares or 51.5 per cent of the area have been threshed, producing 70,700 tonnes of grain with an average yield of about 24.9 centners per hectare.

Minnikhanov was also reported on the implementation of a number of regional programmes, in particular, major repair of schools, the development of mini-farms and farms and on the support of personal farmsteads.
