Rustam Minnikhanov gets acquainted with the harvesting campaign in Chistopol region

On August 8, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met heads of farms and investors, heads of rural settlements of Chistopol municipal region and together with Head of the region Dmitry Ivanov and representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the republic flied over the region’s fields by a helicopter and inspected the course of the harvesting campaign.

As many as 110,250 hectares of arable land, including 52,400 hectares of the grain area.

The harvesting campaign started in the region on July 25. As of today, the grain harvesting has been completed for 43 per cent in the region and a crop yield makes 26.1 centner per hectare.

There are 30 family farms, including 8 high-tech farms. Some two family farms are being built in the region. There are eight mini dairy farms and the municipal region provided support for financing of the construction of family livestock farms.
