Military Commissar of the republic: A number of Tatarstan citizens, previously recognized as unfit for military service, will again have a medical board

24.07.2018

On July 24, speaking at a briefing at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Military Commissar Sergey Pogodin said that Tatarstan citizens, considered unfit for military service by the military physician board , are ready to part with their “white military card” and to pass the medical examination board again.

If the military medical board considers them as fit or fit with insignificant restrictions, they have to give the "white military card" away and be ready to receive military draft notice.

Pogodin emphasized that we do not speak about the mistakes of the doctors, who conducted the initial examination of the conscript. “The conscription extends to the young people aged from 18 to 27. Nine years is a significant period of time, during which human health status can change. If there were some injuries in the age of 18-19, then after the appropriate medical treatment, the conscript can fit to the military service,” he added.

Moreover, today, the availability of a real, not a “white” military card is one of the important conditions for appointing the post in the civil service.
