19.07.2018

On July 19, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with self-employed entrepreneurs, with Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs' Rights for the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Timur Nagumanov being the moderator of the meeting.

In June this year, Vladimir Putin was presented a project on introducing tax charges for self-employed citizens. The Federal Tax Service has developed a mobile application project for remote registration of self-employed people in the tax service and making payments without filling any accounts. It is planned to test the project in four entities of the country, including Moscow, Moscow and Kaluga regions and Tatarstan.

Opening the meeting, Minnikhanov noted that  the system of self-employment have to be streamlined. "We must understand that we all live within the law. You are well done - you support yourself and your families. However, there are certain obligations. Time goes by and it is time to think about retirement. Most importantly, you are law-abiding citizens. Why should you take risks?” Tatarstan President addressed participants of the meeting.

According to him, while working on this project, the authorities need to build a dialogue with self-employed people to take into account their opinions and proposals.

Minnikhanov noted that the status of a pilot region for the introduction of new tools for accounting for self-employed will allow the leadership of the republic to take into account the interests of the citizens.

Then, the meeting participants voiced their wishes and concerns about the implementation of the new taxation programme.

Summing up the meeting, Minnikhanov thanked its participants for the informative conversation, noting that all the issues raised will be carefully considered and addressed as part of the future project.
