Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a meeting of the Government Commission on Regional Development in Moscow

On July 17, during his working visit to Moscow, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting of the Government Commission on Regional Development held by Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Mutko.

The meeting considered financial issues, approaches to the distribution of subsidies for equalizing the budgetary funds for the regions.

Draft methodologies for assessing the effectiveness of tax benefits for regions and municipalities, a draft methodology for distributing subsidies to stimulate the growth of the tax potential for corporate profit tax in 2018, the participation of regions in national projects, and the development of historic settlements were also discussed.

"We are at a very important stage of development. For a short period until the 1st of October, we must prepare a number of strategic documents,” Mutko said speaking at the meeting. He reminded that 12 national projects will be prepared until the 1st of October, the main work under which will be concentrated in the regions of the country.

Mutko also congratulated everyone on the successful completion of the FIFA World Cup 2018. He thanked everyone for their participation, especially the cities which hosted the World Cup matches.
